Winter in the city can be tough. The sky turns gray and the weather is always changing. Cheer up with the dazzling lights of Times Square using this amazing, ultra-high-density 64x64 RGB LED Matrix. These panels are great for making video walls. In New York, you can see them on buses and taxis, showing animations and video ads. They look super cool, so we got some from a factory. Each panel has 4,096 bright RGB LEDs arranged in a 64x64 grid with a 2.5mm pitch. WARNING! These 64-pixel tall matrices use a non - standard 5 - address multiplexing system. Many add - ons or drivers only use a 4 - address (ABCD) setup. Currently, the only board that can work with these matrices is our RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi, and you'll need to connect a solder jumper. Other libraries like our Arduino library or HDMI driver boards don't support 5 - address multiplexing. The full kit includes a 64x64 RGB panel, an IDC ribbon cable (about 200mm), a power cable (about 480mm), 4 mounting screws, and mini - magnets.


Using your 64x64 RGB LED Matrix is easy. First, make sure you have the RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi as other boards might not work due to the non - standard 5 - address multiplexing system. Connect the IDC ribbon cable to the panel and the power cable to a power source. If you're using the Raspberry Pi board, don't forget to connect the solder jumper. When mounting the panel, use the 4 mounting screws and mini - magnets provided in the kit. Be careful not to touch the LEDs directly as they can be easily damaged. For maintenance, keep the panel clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. If you have any issues with the 5 - address multiplexing, refer to the documentation that comes with the RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi.
